dont pull the rods completly out,pull them out reel by reel and unplug the leads that go from the reel to the reel board.
its then a bit of a tricky job but take your time and its a piece of piss.
(these reels were not the best idea barcrest had)

just checked both sets of mine ..and my sets are twins...
BUT THEY ARE THE LARGER SIZE..DAMN...
best thing to do is nab a knackered barcrest which is right under yer nose distance wise off ebay..then either use it as spares...youl probs get a profit or money back selling the other bits too
