Hi all,
I have a barcrest calamari club, (mpu4) how do I change the duff lamps on the reels, i remember reading about it sometime ago but although I have searched, I cant find the post!
Anyway I know you have to draw out the retaining rods, and I assume the reels tilt forward, but can anyone tell me the sequence please?
Thanks in advance,
martyn

Alphanumeric Display.....poser!

Hi all,
Can any one help me please?
Basically, when changing the battery on my MPU4 board, i must have bridged a circuit, because on restarting machine, there was a small puff of smoke from the top left hand side of the board and everything went dead!
I have just bought a replacement (tested with new battery) MPU4 board, fitted it and it seems everything is now working except the alphanumeric display!
On consulting my workshop guide for my machine, it shows a plug in section (bottom right hand side) on the board designated to supply the alpha display, now this is the puzzling bit, when I removed my old board originally, I listed all the plugs clockwise round the board, and a). I have no record or recollection of there ever being a connection plug there, although to be certain, i have searched inside the cabinet for a unconnected plug to fit it with no success.
So, would it have been possible for the alpha connection to be plugged in elsewhere and never in that designated point on the MPU board and still work, in which case, any idea what I may have to replace/do to get it working again.
Thanks for ploughing your way through this, and thanks for any advice given,
regards,
martyn

Barcrest reel supports/brackets
06 July 2009 - 09:22 PM
Hi all,
Can anyone help, I have got a barcrest psycho cash beast, and one of the black reel brackets has broke, marked 'starpoint' and is 40mm high and 65mm wide.
Some time ago bought one from ebay, but it turned out to be too big, never got round to returning it! So i assume they come in diferent sizes, hence the measurements above.
Anybody have one or more for sale or any guidance to a source would be very much appreciated.
regards,
Martyn
Thanks matty for quick reply, have uploaded pic of busted support, (note both feet have broken off) Martyn

HELP MPU4 Replacement Battery Required!!
02 January 2008 - 01:02 PM
Hi All,
Have just removed MPU4 Board from a Barcrest Calamari Club, (unplugged machine not holding memory) to change the battery, which is a Kinetic NiMAH 2.4V 140mAh. I have tried Maplins (all they have is a 3v 160mAh) and also tried Steve at Advance Leisure at Brentwood who is local to me, unfortunately no luck.
While on the subject of Advance Leisure, I must say how impressed I was with their customer service, Steve was busy working on a machine when I turned up, he immediately left that to try to find me a working battery on a knackered board which i could have for free (as he did not have any stock of new batteries). Thanks for trying Steve!
Anyway......does anyone know where I could get a replacement battery???
Thanks,
Martyn
