As you open the machine, the circuit board mounted on the back wood of the machine that faces you, contains the stakes/prizes + % keys. It's like a widget that plugs into the D slot. If they don't have little dips on them, you'v eprobably got dedicated settings and will need a switchable key off Ebay or wherever to change the %, price of play/ jackpot etc

On line slots can be evil. Also on line bingo is horrific % payouts. I saw a munter put £3 in the darts machine in my local and he got jackpot that board. I was going to go on it myself, but some fat bloater had left her sprogs running around near the damn thing and I thought I'd wait for them to disperse. Early bird and worms etc I guess. You can't really moan about getting one board in a fiver and it giving you £3 then killing you, it has to save to pay someone the £70, maybe not me, maybe not you, probably the bloke who put £3 in the darts themed machine in my local - jammy c*nt that he is! Errr let's see, Devil of a Deal, I nearly always play on 50p you **usually** get a board within a fiver as remember tridents are active on 50p. Be careful of £1, I've heard of big board costs. Some DonDs are poor though, stay away from Double Take in particular, £12 for a roll in board, offer £2 then die. Other than that, there are good machines out there - it's just like any form of gambling really, you have good days and not so good days.

+1 Fruitman

was that 70.01% over 4k of plays as that is a fairly short session in terms of S16? Only 2000 presses.

That Trayhop over on Fruit chat sold one a couple of years back. I think he got at most £300 for it, so this day and age more like £100-£200 I'd guess. It's one of the first section 16s that Bell Fruit brought out back in the day. I've heard that £2 stake is coming back into action soon, so maybe that'll bump the price up a bit.

Now that is seriously old school! Nice pics anyhow, you sometimes see the likes of these on travelling fairs still to this day. They're so old, there's even reference to one in those Richmal Compton books, William loses all his poket money on one! I also notice you've got a digger there. Shame Gary Chandler isn't still around. He'd be jumping up and down now, I wonder if it's trail holding on a farthing stake?

Where've you been James to snap these? Black Country Museum? Bournemouth?
