Thanks for the reels, much appreciated. Thanks also to ROSS for all his help with a couple of little issues surrounding the classic.

One question that I'm hoping somebody can answer, is whether anybody has a flyer or good scans / pics of this machine, either the £5 or the £15 version. I have the images of the repro, but there are a few issues with them, and the mazooma website is about as much fooking use as a chocolate fireguard. If anybody can help it would be appreciated.

As an update, the reels are done, as is the background, which was a b****rd, and I'm almost complete on the buttons as well which have a nasty coloured blend through them which took forever, as the images I have are not clear enough to work with, so I've had to do a complete redraw from scratch.

Anyhow, if anybody can provide any of the above it would speed this one up, but I am determined to make this as near perfect as possible, so I'm not rushing it!

I was questioning epoch, but decided that until epee is up and running I'd concentrate on doing some other DX's. The roms I am trying to work with are Scorpion 4, but to be honest I just can't seem to work out how to load roms into the layout, expecially when there are two game roms for example, and I can't seem to do it with roms that other ppl have made work either, so somewhere I'm going wrong!

Hey, good recall. I've attached a pic of the machine. I will be selling this shortly, but will take as many pics / scans as I can. I will be looking for around £120 for the machine, as it has a new m/board which I had to fit, and is in pretty good nick. If anybody is interested, let me know. I also have a Barcrest Neptunes Treasure, which I am looking for around £120-£125, again all fully working, which is ready to go.

Thanks to all, to clarify, BFM spectre is a totally different machine, which runs on scorp I, whereas maygay spectre is epoch based and less of a lo-tech. I will be scanning / photographing the machine from all angles, as I really want to DX this one. I know however, that there are ppl out there who already have the roms for this, just hoping someone can forward them to me to keep safe until the epoch emulation is ready.

Hi there, hoping someone here can help! I just bought two machines on ebay. One a Barcrest Neptunes Treasure which is fine. The other is a Maygay Spectre, which appears to have an epoch board.

The board lights indicate that it is running fine, but none of the operating LED's on the other boards light up, and only the top panel of the machine lights up. I have tried reseating the roms, and tried connections etc, but nothing.

As the alpha display is on the bottom panel, I get no messages or alarms. The two seven segment LED's both show 8 and 8.8, which is not in the service manual, and the hopper motor just seems to run. I checked the PSU, and that says it is chucking out the right voltage, so now I'm stuck... Anybody got any bright ideas what I should try next?
