Come off it!

I've been talking about soldering, nimh batteries and other technical oddities, so when I mentioned, 'what's electrical tape', I was joking!

I've got enough of the stuff to stock maplins for a few weeks :)

I've got a replacement battery soldered to a bit of veroboard and i've stuck it in a box; should it choose to commit suicide within a few years; It can do so behind closed doors!

My machine is now running! Just replaced the board.

Going to make sure it runs longer than the life of the battery though, by siting a new battery offboard!

Heh, Just read your thread PJ and I was thinking exactly the same!

I think this little thread started whilst I was thinking about those helpful landlords poking there nose up the side of their fruity when your playing it.

I was just venting a little anger over pub machines and their respective owners as i've been on the recieving end of the same sort of treatment.

Luckily the landlord who was having a rant at me was built like a twiglet and he didn't have the backup he was hoping to have when I told him what he should do with his machine :)
