We already have a second Administrator with Ady - and also duplu still has all the rights as Administrator too...

 

...why on Earth should we need to be creating more?

 

If after all the forum site and owner administration when purchased comes with those default privilege rights, then:

 

a) it can't be illegal, and

b) makes perfect sense - the owner of the site should be able to access any information on it, especially if it is needed for any legal interpretation or action.

 

...and if anyone thinks that one person can really be that concerned about the site owner checking each and every one of our PM messages and that he has nothing better than that to do all day, then to be honest they really shouldn't be a member of any forum to start off with, least of all this one.

No-one suggested creating more admins, seeing as AA doesn't want to go into detail in public then i'll respect those wishes & i will not either.

On the state of layouts it's a shame people can't start from scratch, look at Vectra (And i mean this in no way bad, good example as he's one of the newest creators to the party) when he started his layouts weren't the best, but as time went on and he created more, learned things here & there and pressed on they're gotten a hell of a lot better. People need to take heed, people are willing to help but only if you're willing to put the time and dedication in.

Some of the classics are are a bloody eyesore too, much to the point where I've been re-doing them myself for personal use. Not to be disrespectful but Nicks Poker Face, the squares on the actual machine have 3 bulbs, so for MFME that's 4 lamps needed, but he actually used a seperate lamp for each bulb, no double lamping so the layout breaks itself when they change colours, from what i've noticed spending that extra bit of time to get it working on 2 lamps as opposed to 3 sorts that issue. He may not be to blame but given the amount of time it took to release it & the machine doesn't run properly surely you'd spend the extra time getting it in a prsentable state?

I'm not interested in politics. Don't you dare try and use that as an excuse. For ages Ady was giving Vectra grief over layouts. He sends me a PM to support me (and you can quack off with your rules I did not post the contents.. What is it illegal to tell some one you received a letter these days?!?!) over the same thing, yet all of a sudden the site has pulled this miraculous U-turn and now I'm a "the c word that people instinctively use when they are losing an argument" for telling people not to reuse my artwork?

Great to see i'm not the only one who's noticed that. As i said earlier can't be one rule for one mod & a different one for another.

Edit: I can see he's an admin, if that does mean he has access to PM's & i get the feeling he hasn't been playing fair. AA, you're around a fair bit so do we need a 2nd Admin? Especially if things like this arise.

Then maybe we should now be giving Ady due credit for standing up for someone who is under attack, instead of critisising him for it?

It's a difficult line to tread as a moderator and whether it's consistently right or not isn't necessarily a useful debate.

So let's not trawl back, but instead be happy that as much balance as possible has been restored to the forum and in general most of us are getting on reasonably well most of the time.

From what I've seen you're not exactly giving Vectra any slack, the guy tries to do what he can but all i see from yourself is a lot put downs towards him. So what if he doesn't know the history, he's doing what he can now.
