The real problem here is people with poor quality monitors.

What we are seeing is coders being held back by low people who INSIST on using poor quality laptops.

There is a lot of desktop replacement laptops that can fix the screen resolution problem. Soon this will no longer be a problem.

Why? Well...

I understand on good authority that from 2010, this site will accept NO MORE LAYOUTS UNDER 1280x1024 resolution.

It's taken a long time to get to this position, but you know it makes sense and the community will rejoice that poor people are finally using decent quality hardware.

Yes.

Well done on making a small machine for people with poor screens that does not work.

Would your time not be better invested on doing a DX of a working machine with your "skillz"?

If you cannot get the doors to work, have you missed something?

Perhaps a tickbox as I often see plenty of them when I look at layouts. I think it's perhaps better not to rush a release and get it working well rather then something that does not play like the real machine.

Ok, it's over.

That being said, don't you think that people will never by a quality screen if people continually make layouts for these lower resolutions?

It is a vicious circle and it needs people like you to stand proud and stand up and say "We will not give in to poor people with poor screens"...

...if they have chosen to spend their £'s on Strongbow and a packs of fags rather then upgraded their poor quality laptop, it should be them that suffer.

What bloody planet are you on Yan?

Any 1024 will not have the clean crisp image of a 1280 and likewise a 1600.

Why the hell you are so obsessed with a singled out DXer is a little sad to say the least.

Bruce....give us 1024 for those with the average laptops...and not One like Yans...which I can picture being as big as the mobile on Trigger Happy!

I have not singled out Bruce. He singled out me and asked me not to comment on his releases when he allows everyone else. Again, blinkers are being worn here...

...I am just encouraging him to be the best he can and for this instance and this layout, I have helped him...

I am glad to see that we as a community can now benifit from slightly larger latops and I was clearly right all along.

Cheers for the good work and looking forward to you changing your res to 1600 so you can improve some more.

If your going to make them - best make them right - what do you say?
