Errors

03 March 2015 - 06:51 PM

Sorry guys if this has been answered in the past but I cannot find the solution to the errors.

I loaded up Cops and Robbers Club on the BFME.

After the load I get the following error pop up

RAM file "RAM\club_cops_and_robbers_£250-25p.ram" is corrupt! Resetting.(zip=00000000 len=0000)

No big issue because once the game loads up I wait till the alarm stops sounding, then i hit the collect button which in turn resets the machine making it playable.

Once in the game playing, the Reserve Cashpot and the Cashpot both start out at $60.00, they accumulate in value as you play the game, but when I close down the game and restart, both pots should stay at the leaving values, but they don't, they reset again after the alarm on start up. Could this be because of the corrupt ram error.

I have downloaded the other versions of this game and they also contain the same error.

I  also get ram errors on some of the other emulators, MFME and JPEmu, although them others I have to delete them as they do not reset and become unplayable, these errors I am not to worried about.

Creating roms

17 February 2015 - 03:22 PM

Just a question, what coding are you guys using to write these emulation roms with.

Is it.....

Basic (lol, 1980's)

Machine Code (late 1980's)

Pascal (Early 1990's)

C, C+ or C++ (late 1990's to late 2012)

Lua (2012- present)

I am fascinated in the making of gaming roms, I have in the past learned all these type of coding, although I am by no means proficient, but I sure would like to get back into it and possibly do some gaming roms of various bandits that I played over the years.

Back Home

Hi everyone, i am back on Fruit-Emu after being off for several years due to pc blowing up and moving houses, but now i am back where i belong, i left the USA to come back and live in Scotland, after the upheaval and sleeping mostly i have gotten a laptop to start all things anew. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks i can get a job so i can start donating again. I am just glad to see that this site has stayed on and is kept up to date, great work guys.

Lightning Strikes

24 July 2012 - 12:43 PM

A huge thunderstorm came rolling in over Bowling Green KY on July 2nd 2012, in a 30 minute time span we had over 3,000 lightning strikes and 6" of rain fall. Scary for the most part, but wonderful to watch, every lightning strike that lit the darkened skies up was of various colours, greens, yellows and purples. The wind was whipping around hitting 80mph, trees being snapped like toothpicks and the thunderclaps was booming so loud that our house shook with every boom, do the math, 3,000 shakes, no wonder my 5 year old boy and 6 year old girl was scared out there wits. But like most storms, they come and go, it lasted for about 45 minutes, in the meantime i had the PC turned off to be safe. The skies cleared, sun came out and unlike the UK, over here after a thunderstorm it gets very humid so the temperature is still in the 90's so it was muggy as hell, steam rising from the ground as the sun started to dry the wet roads made it even more unbearable to be outside. The local weather channel still booming over the airwaves telling us that it has passed, woohoo, i switched the PC back on, and started supper for the kids, just got their food on the table and i sat down on the couch, the local weather channel cut into the evening news program to warn us about another severe round of storms that are popping up, but alas too late, a streak of lightning smacked into the side of the house and blew my PC and wifi extender box up, the kids where knocked to the ground as was i with the force of the hit, thankfully no one got hurt except my newely rebuilt gaming machine (R.I.P) and wifi extender box (need to buy a new one). Running an old PC now till i can afford a new one. I am not a god loving person like every american around where i live, but i am thankful that me and the kids emerged unscathed.
