So I have Grid Runner an old Maygay unit that I thought Id revive. I bought a working Epoch board and fired it up. All Eproms are located fine and definately the right way.....installed and it booted up, gave the usual alarm noise etc then all the lovely flashing lights....great I thought! The Epoch board has a battery fly lead so as not to suffer any damage and all seemed well. Coupe of crackling noises then boom nothing,,,dead. PSU seems all lit nicely just 3 x lights when fired up on the board +12V, -12V, +VLOGIC nothing else. Normally the +VDISP would be lit, security flashing etc. Any ideas....I reckon its something other than the Epoch board myself but happy to be proved wrong!
I have Gridrunner - full sized machine. Its not been used for a while and I know last time it was used the hopper was empty and triggered the alarm.
When turned on now there are no lights or anything, no alarm - though the alarm light on the front is flashing.
I have all the keys and turned the alarm key hoping it would reset but there is nothing. None of the hopper buttons or anything work.
Im guessing there is a procedure to reset the unit fully so that I can start the process again and top it up etc....but how? All the lights on the PSU are green.
Ive sadly lost my manual so Im at a complete loss!
