Cash pots/melon meters/nudge pots were part of the fun of playing machines, trying to get them. Stupid bammies banning those things!
(Of course not like they have such in America - I don't think a yank would know what to do with a nudge ;)

Given that they're trying to do data recovery makes it sound like these numnutz at JAB don't perform backups. If that's the case, get the hell away from them - after you check your contract with them to see if you can file against them. ;)

If you can drive at 18, die for your country at 18 then you should damn well be allowed to drink at 18!

As for gambling, years ago it was supposed to be gambling = 18+ only but, if i remember right, they let it slide. (I remember 20yrs ago a cinema that had a Bell-Fruit machine, 2 quid jackpot, and the wimmen that worked there enforced some 18y.o. rule)

The global population has doubled since 1940. Add to that the industrialization, increased polution & pollutants pumped out, massive amounts of methane produced by cows and pigs to make those burgers & sausages churned out by mc-dogends etc, as well as how much land cattle (and oxen) can make barren by over-grazing etc then I have to disagree with you. Mankind has had a HUGE impact on this planet and is continuing to do so, destroying resources etc etc.

One day it will all be gone and then what. Go waaah? or say "oh eff they were right"?
