i had a problem like this the other week.did not matter what copy of windows i put on it would just crash.but also my problem was with a system with xp.so i went to a friend of mine who said try a copy of windows orignal with nothing installed on it like service pack 3 or stuff like that.belive it or not that was the problem the computer i was doing did not like service pack 3

my lappys about 3yrs old but battery died on it a while ago but i gets very hot when used on lappy tray and i think it cuts itself out its done it twice now i,m thinking of getting a new one i,ve got about £400 to spend what would be the best buy/one to get for playing saving fruities on to

with a laptop they do pick up alot of dust and block the vents.thats what can cause them to overheat.

In Topic: Netbook Keys Help!

hi all i have a emachines netbook and today some of the keys just randomly stopped working its numbers 4 6 8 0 and the letter p for some reason do any of you know what cased this of how to fix it?
there is no dirt or anything under the keys and i have tried system restore and taking the battery out and pressing the power button but no joy.
any help will be appreciated and im really stuck on this one. :arghh:

try putting a usb keyboard on and see if it still does the same.if it does then there is something wrong with the board
