Winspin ( 2P / £1.50 Jp ) Request

01 February 2011 - 03:26 AM

Hi,

If you look at my sig it says how I got my first jackpot. This lead me down a rocky road into fruit machine addiction that unfortunately I am still cursed with. Luckily for me I have been coming here since forever and it certainly helped me a lot to understand how AWP's were not gambling (monopoly 60 and its block for example).

Ever since I joined I have been waiting for a release of WinSpin. I know its a tricky one as this fruity had a feature reel similar to the discs that are on later machines. I remember you had to try get either 6 winspins or 8 nudges on the disc if the jackpot was near.

When I say this machine is old im talking maybe 28-30 years old (1980-1982 or round about that time).

I doubt that Cliff's Repro has the roms for this one even as they were prone to breaking down on the wheel but I did see one in a Blackpool arcade about 10 years ago. It was a 10p version however.

Anyone seen one of these around or have any idea how to get roms or so a layout for it? I am a programmer so im tempted to have a go at my first layout if possible and if I could get a flyer I could even emulate it (id probably end up singing the annoying tune it made when it span the feature wheel).

If theres any chance of it being made im sure the capable people here who have saved me a few thousand in playcoins can help me out.

Thanks

Looking for a particular IRC

04 January 2004 - 12:18 PM

Hi there

I would like to have a chat with Stiffy from Stiffulation.co.uk and there is IRC mentioned on his site....although it doesn't say where it is (or at least I couldn't find it on the site...60% more probable).

Anyone know the IRC server and roomname for Stiffulations?

Tips, Tricks and Wind-ups

30 December 2003 - 09:03 PM

Hey there

Would it be possible to start a forum with the aforementioned tips, tricks and wind-up advice?

It would be a great acheivement in the progression of the gambler if we all shared our knowledge freely to keep us all in a winning mood.

I'm sure we have all invested a lot of time and money in fruit-machines and that knowledge is best served in the hands of many me thinks :)

Fruit-Emu Rom Manager ( mmmm FERM )

29 December 2003 - 07:38 PM

Hi there

Just sitting at me desktop looking for a machine to play when i thought of this idea...probably not a new thought but suggest ye shall :)

Everyone should already be keeping their "play roms/layouts" seperate from their "storage roms/layouts". In order to play a game it must be unzipped, preferably in its own named folder, before it can be played.

This could be a tedious process if you have a nice collection...especially when you add multiple emultors to the equation.

How about a nice little program that gives you the following abilities ::

::Naming convention::
All files are syncronised with the fruit-emu files by CRC/MD5 check and when adhered to will force the correct name for the file and extracted foldername.

::Auto-unzip::
Files matching the naming convention are shown in an Unzip browser ready to auto-unzip to correctly named folders.

::Torrent-based downloads::
Users can share any legal files without a drain on the fruit-emu.com bandwidth (keeping it "reel" for as long as possible :) ) but only between registered members with no torrent "save-as" option and no torrent cache (to avoid misuse of torrent files).
Files can be downloaded via a browser that lists active member files shared on the tracker and gives the user the possibility to get in on the download.

::Snaphots::
Any snapshots shown on the site are added to the program and shown in the Unzip Browser for any roms adhering to naming conventions.
So many game names it's sometimes hard to remember the odd one or two (but im GA friendly so I know a fair few more than the average person..would like to see it though).

Thats about it for now.....

Any of these ideas would be, I think, beneficial in the whole schema of FME.
I don't have time to code anything till after January (and C++ isnt my main language) but if no-one picks up these ideas before then I will set about making these ideas real (in the cyber-sense :) ) but im hoping someone else can do this already as I would be learning a few bits of new info to do this in C++ :oops: .

I've added a poll for feedback.

Hope you like my ideas...i'll probably be back with more as time goes by
